The role of a Buyer / Operations Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with purchasing functions, while also supporting warehouse management, equipment maintenance, and data tracking. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work across various teams. You'll be expected to assist in procurement, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility, and track data related to tools and certifications.

Purchasing:

• Assist in purchasing and serve as a backup purchaser when needed.
• Enter "call in" parts orders from the field.
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups with drivers.
• Obtain quotes for project management as requested.
• Analyze bids to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.

Warehousing:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and other company facilities.
• Perform and schedule routine maintenance on shop equipment and trucks.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Data Upkeep and Entry:

• Track and manage inventory, including tools, calibrations, and certifications.
• Assist with data entry for test reports and other documentation as needed.
• Additional Expectations:
• Willingness to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications.

• 3+ years of previous experience in purchasing, warehouse management, or data entry is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different teams, from project management to field personnel.

• Willingness to take forklift and overhead crane certification classes.
